Each uncoated tablet Contains:
  Clobazam IP 10 mg

Clobazam belongs to the benzodiazepine class and has anticonvulsant property.
It is agonist of GABA receptors and increases the frequency of opening of chloride channels opening and permeability to chloride channels.

Indications

As antiepileptic

Mechanism of Action

It binds to the GABA receptors associated with chloride ionophore at the various locations in the CNS. It increases the duration of duration for the proper of the ionophore.
as a result, it increases the stabilization of the membrane at the post synaptic part.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption- It is absorbed orally
Protein Binding- It is 90% bound to serum proteins
Metabolism- It undergoes N-demethylation and hydroxylation
Excretion- It is excreted via urine

• Drowsiness
• Difficulty in sleeping

Contraindications

Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity

Precautions

Do not use if it is causes suicidal thoughts and depression
